And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy.

1 – The Messenger of Allah Salalaahu aleyhi wa salam said:

Whoever wants to to love Allah and His Messenger, then let him read the Mushaf.”

['Sahih al-Jami''; # 6289]

2 – Ibn ‘Abbas narrated:

“al-Walid bin al-Mughirah (Khalid ibn al walid’s father a polytheist) came to the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah Salalaahu aleyhi wa salam recited the Qur’an to him, and al-Walid seemed to become affected and softened by it. Abu Jahl came to know of this, so, he came to al-Walid and said: “Don’t you see that your people are collecting charity for you?”

He said: “And why is that?”

Abu Jahl replied: “So that they can give it to you, as they see that you went to Muhammad to get some of his food.”

al-Walid said: “Quraysh knows that I am of the wealthiest of its sons.”

Abu Jahl said: “So, say to Muhammad something that would convince your people that you oppose him.”

al-Walid replied: “And what can I possibly say? There is not a single man who is more knowledgable of poetry or prose than I, or even that of the Jinn, and by Allah, what he says bears no resemblance to these things. By Allah, what he says has a sweetness to it, (more…)

By Muhammad Alshareef

Notice the young brothers that memorized the Qur’an in your community, they are already pushed to the front of the congregation by virtue of their accomplishment. They, at this early start, are forced to contribute to the community and live a life of significance.

Bi-idhnillah. That’s what we all want. The Qur’an can do it for you.

But these gifts have a condition: the taqwa of Allah. There is one absolute naseeha that will make or break the persons drive to memorize the Qur’an: One must desist from sin!

Ibn Mas’ood said, “I feel that indeed someone will forget knowledge they had a acquired because of sins they commit.”

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

If Allah has loved a servant [of His] He calls Gabriel (on whom be peace) and says: I love So-and-so, therefore love him. He (the Prophet peace be upon him) said: So Gabriel loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in heaven, saying: Allah loves So-and-so, therefore love him. And the inhabitants of heaven love him. He (the Prophet peace be upon him) said: Then acceptance is established for him on earth. And if Allah has abhorred a servant [of His], He calls Gabriel and says: I abhor So-and-so, therefore abhor him. So Gabriel abhors him. Then Gabriel calls out to the inhabitants of heaven: Allah abhors So-and-so, therefore abhor him. He (the Prophet peace be upon him) said: So they abhor him, and abhorrence is established for him on earth.

As-Salaamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatu my dear brothers and sister, Bismillah wal Hamdulilah was Salatu was Salam ‘ala Sayyidina wa nabiyinaa Muhammad.

 Eid mubarak!! May Allah make this day a day of happiness & joy, inshallah. Make Du’a for our brothers and sisters who cannot enjoy the day of eid due to injustice. May Allah relieve them and relieve us all and grant us Jannah. Aamiin.

Eid-ul-Adha this year 1428 Hijri or 2007, will be on Wednesday 19th December!

 Eid is a special occasion and one of the things which makes it so, is the Eid-ul-Adha congregational prayer. On the way to the Eid prayer, while waiting for it and on the way back from the prayer one should recite the following takbeer as much as possible:“Allaahu akbar – Allaahu akbar – Laa ilaaha illallaahu – wal-laahu akbar Allaahu akbar wa lil-laahil-hamd”
(Allah is the Greatest; Allah is the Greatest; There is no god except Allah; And Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest and for Allah is all praise.)
It is the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (Salalaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Salam) to go to the prayer by one way and return by another

The following actions are also sunnah on the day of Eid:*To clean the teeth with miswaak;
*To take a bath;
*To adorn oneself and dress in the best clothes that are available and are permitted in Shari’ah;
*To use perfume;
*To rise early and go to the prayer grounds early;
*To walk to the prayer grounds if possible and to recite the takbeer { stated above :) }
*Nothing is to be eaten before the prayer of Eid-ul-Adha, unlike Eid-ul-Fitr;
*No (nafl) prayers should be prayed at the Eid prayer ground, neither before or after the Eid prayer.

Since this prayer comes only once a year, there is often confusion about how to perform this prayer. Here is how to do it:
